We are either headed towards God, or we are running from God. There is no way to stand still in our pursuit of God and holiness, and a measurement for this is the status of our hearts.

“God, glorify Yourself through my body!”

18 Run from sexual immorality! “Every sin a person can commit is outside the body.” On the contrary, the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body. 19 Don’t you know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? Hugh Hefner’s Sad Legacy: The Dangerous Ripple Effect of Porn

“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthew 18:5-6). “Porn doesn’t have a Read more about Hugh Hefner’s Sad Legacy: The Dangerous Ripple Effect of Porn[…]

In my last post here I included Adoniram Judson’s letter to his father-in-law asking for Ann’s hand in marriage (you can also learn more about Judson himself and his missionary endeavors in my last post as well). Now I want us to look at Judson’s letter to Ann just a tad over a month before they Read more about “Honey, We’re Engaged! Adoniram Judson’s astonishing letter to his father-in-law asking for his daughter’s hand in marriage

We named our son, Judson, after the missionary Adoniram Judson, and I am proud of that fact given what I am currently learning about Judson’s life. Judson lived from 1788-1850 and was a missionary to Burma for almost 40 years. His commitment to the cause of Christ was (is!) phenomenal, humbling, and inspiring.  Before he Read more about Adoniram Judson’s astonishing letter to his father-in-law asking for his daughter’s hand in marriage[…]
