We must keep an eye on our hearts at all times. We are either going forward, or we are going backwards. We are either progressing in holiness, or we are digressing towards sin. We are either headed towards God, or we are running from God. There is no way to stand still in our pursuit of God and holiness, and a measurement for this is the status of our hearts.
Why do we view sexual sin as unforgivable in God’s eyes?
We are worse off than we could ever dare to imagine, and we are more loved and accepted in Christ than we could ever dare to imagine.
Will we allow the shock of God’s mercy and love shown on the cross in the New Testament to sinners such as Jeffrey Dahmer at least neutralize the so-called “acts of violence” by God in the Old Testament?
When you have sinned and failed God again, where do you turn? Where do you go? To whom do you look? What do you do in those moments of great brokenness, guilt, and shame? Also, how do you keep walking with God, everyday, knowing that you will fail Him again and again?
